The Indiana Pacers released their injury report for Wednesday’s matchup with the Chicago Bulls. Cory Joseph is questionable with a sore left shoulder while Glenn Robinson III and Edmond Sumner are continuing to rehabilitate from their respective surgeries.

It’s hard to tell what the Pacers will decide to do with their rotation if Joseph is unable to play. They could either decide to give Joe Young minutes or increase Lance Stephenson’s playing time, or even a combination of both. A wildcard possibility is that Stephenson could see an increase in playing time as a guard while Damien Wilkins gets some minutes.

Nate McMillan talked to the media about Glenn Robinson III’s recovery yesterday. He mentioned that Robinson III is improving and is in good spirits. There still hasn’t been a mention of a definitive timetable for his return, but the original expectation was that he would be back around mid-January.

The Pacers will be starting their regular lineup of Darren Collison, Victor Oladipo, Bojan Bogdanovic, Thaddeus Young, and Myles Turner. Their bench will at least consist of Domantas Sabonis and Lance Stephenson. I would imagine that there is a solid chance that T.J. Leaf will get some minutes, but the rest of the bench is dependant on Cory Joseph’s status.

The Chicago Bulls have a collection of inactive players for tonight’s game. Zach LaVine is out as he continues to recover from a torn left ACL and Cameron Payne is out with a right foot injury. Nikola Mirotic is out tonight but he is getting close to making his season debut.

The starting lineup for the Bulls will likely consist of Kris Dunn, Justin Holiday, Denzel Valentine, Lauri Markkanen, and Robin Lopez. Regarding their bench, I believe that at least Bobby Portis, Jerian Grant, Paul Zipser, David Nwaba, and Christiano Felicio get minutes for Chicago off the bench.

UPDATE: The Indiana Pacers announced that Cory Joseph will play in tonight’s game against the Chicago Bulls.

I suggest listening to today’s episode of the Locked On Pacers podcast for a preview of tonight’s game between the Indiana Pacers and the Chicago Bulls. They brought on Chicago Bulls writer Stephen Noh of The Athletic to discuss this matchup.
